The Premier League will get a large influx of pie-chomping fatties with incomprehensible accents from the far north as well as Wizard of Oz-loving pride marchers from the far south next season following the promotions of both Newcastle and Brighton.
With Middlesbrough and Sunderland pretty much doomed to relegation, it’s good to know there’ll be at least one comedy club from the north-east clowning around to cheer up the rest of us.
