Pupils-sitting-exams-1934346Crafty Caroline D, 52 years of age, attempted to take her daughter’s exam to improve her scores in the English baccalaureate paper. Going to a fantastic effort to re-create her teenage self, Caroline wore low-rise skinny jeans and Converse trainers to try and fool the invigilators. Unfortunately though, more effort was needed, as the scandalous mother was caught by a keen eyed examiner who called the police: next time, go in for botox and hair extensions.

Perhaps Caroline had read May Contain Nuts by author John O’Farrell, in which the protagonist plots a similarly devious plan. She obviously missed the small print: don’t try this at home.

Even more tickling is the fact that Caroline was left to complete her paper before being arrested so as not to disturb other students. A three hour exam and £7,000 fraud fine in one day? Phew.
