As regular readers know, BBM is happy to poke fun at pretty much any subject, whether it’s female circumcision, anal fissures, cats in wheelie bins or Jimmy Savile.
But we draw the line when it comes to cute dogs in mourning for their owners, especially a German shepherd in Italy who has been attending mass at the local church every week since his owner Maria Margherita Lochi was buried there.
Apparently when the church bells begin to ring,Tommy runs to the service which Maria used to attend before her demise.
“He’s there every time I celebrate mass and is very well behaved – he doesn’t make a sound, I’ve not heard one bark from him in all the time he has been coming in,” explained Father Donato Panna.”He used to come to mass with Maria and he was obviously devoted to her.”
Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got something in our eye…
