Fed up of their kids colouring in rainbows and flowers, Tesco decided to sell a colouring book with a difference. Supposedly aimed at five to eight year olds, Colour Me Good – Arrggghhhh!! features drawings of classic Horror films including Hellraiser, The Shining and Psycho. No wonder Tesco thought it would make a great gift for kids.
The book, which describes itself as “really scary” and containing “more blood than you can shake a dagger at,” was spotted by a man on the Tesco website when he was looking for a present for his grandson. After he complained about the inappropriateness of the book, Tesco apologised and blamed it on someone else.
It wasn’t all bad; thanks to Fatal Attraction, a picture of a bunny rabbit DID make the cut – it just happened to be sitting in a cooking pot, with a crazy Glenn Close brandishing a kitchen knife in the background.
