As competition prizes go, we tip our hat to a consortium of charities who are offering one winner the chance of a shot at immortality.
And we don’t mean the kind of “immortality” you get from having kids, or by becoming a famous celebrity whose name will live forever – we mean actually living forever, like Mumm-ra from Thundercats.
The “lucky” winner of the Live Forever competition will be chilled to -196C (-320F) after death, in the hope science may one day be able to bring them back to life.
Remember A Charity director Rob Cope said the competition aimed to get people thinking about their legacy after they have gone. “We hope this campaign makes it clear that freezing yourself isn’t the only way to live forever,” he said.
We couldn’t agree more. In fact, if anything, we reckon freezing yourself at -196C will probably have a negative impact on your lifespan.
