We all know that graduation, a time when parents meet university friends, can be an embarrassing occasion. Laura Gambrel has certainly won the prize for most ridiculous graduation faux pas however. Graduating from Indiana University last month, excited mum Carol ordered a custom designed cake in celebration. Sides split when a cat, instead of a cap, appeared in icing upon the happy graduate’s smiling face. Apparently the order was misheard in the bakery. Racking up thousands of hits in just a few days, a photo of the cake is proving highly popular. It’s not all fun and games though; at least the bakers gave her a congratulatory message and a degree scroll! Perhaps the little kitten helped her with her studies…we can only hope that she was studying veterinary medicine.
