Woman have always lauded it over us that they are capable of multitasking and men are not. Now we will finally concede. A lady in China was spotted committing a drive by breastfeeding. Riding her mo-ped with her baby in tow, she thought this must be the perfect time to quench the baby’s thirst. The modern day mother is more than just a stay at home mum to provide for all the baby’s needs but some continue their careers and look after the rest of the family too. This is a feat worthy of admiration but a line can always be drawn.
The mother was halted by police and managed to escape a fine but being left with a warning to mull over her actions.
“She was risking her life, her son’s life and the lives of all other road users.” the police were quoted as saying.
The members of the public that witnessed her actions reported that she was free-breastfeeding; her hands were fixed to the handles of the mo-ped and her baby was dangling dangerously as she sped down the street. The little boy, who is about 18 months old, was said to have become distressed and started crying not that that was any deterrent to his determined mother.
Mothers do take on a lot of responsibility when raising a family but the necessity to multi-task to this extent is questionable. Surely she could just have breastfed for five minutes before taking off on her journey again.
The police gave her a further warning insisting ” We told her if she carried on we would confiscate her bike.”
Should probably confiscate the child too.
