A love-struck wacko in Florida has married a giant Ferris wheel she likes to call Bruce.
So the people of Florida still see gay marriage as an abomination of God’s law, but the man upstairs is perfectly fine with people getting hitched to fairground rides? Riiiight…
To be fair, most of the women BBM has slept with were inanimate objects in bed when it came to the no pants dance, so we can kind of see the Floridians logic.
The bizarre ceremony, with Linda Ducharme marrying the blushing ride to be, was filmed by US channel Logo TV. It follows hot on the heels of a man who married a tree in Argentina and another who married a pillow in Japan.
Remembering the moment she first set her eyes on the object of affection, Ducharme told a radio station: “I got this weird feeling I can’t explain. My heart was pounding as we went up the platform and got on the ride. I felt like I was being taken by this ride.”
We agree with her there, someone’s definitely being taken for a ride. In fairness ladies, who wouldn’t want a fella who can take you to heaven and back every time you ride him? The downside is most of your friends have probably been on him too and he enjoys being “lubed up” regularly.
“Bruce is my world, I think about him constantly, it just completely feels right when I’m with Bruce,” she waffled on.
Other examples of strange weddings include a woman who married a 600-year-old French bridge, and Ferris Bueller star Matthew Broderick – who once famously got hitched to a horse, only for it to turn out to be Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker.
