Imagine the frustration of going to the zoo to find that behind the sign for the ferocious African lion is a fluffy chow chow dog. Or the hiss of exotic snakes is indeed the scuttling of a few rats.
Toddlers and adults alike were dismayed to find that the world’s worst zoo does exist and it’s within the Chinese city of Luohe. But the fun does not stop there! Foxes were used to impersonate leopards and another dog was used to impersonate a wolf.
It was the barking that gave it all away for a little six year-old whose mother described the impersonations as an ‘insult’. In defence of the park-like zoo a spokesman suggested that doggies were the best they could do in these tough economic times.
All we’d like to know is how much is that lion in the window? You know – the one with waggly tail …
