The usually well-behaved actress Reese Witherspoon released her inner wild-child when she was arrested during the early hours of Friday morning for disorderly misconduct, along with her husband Jim Toth for a DUI charge, when an officer suspected him of driving while intoxicated.
The Oscar-winning actress released a statement saying she was ‘deeply embarrassed’ and ‘sorry’ about the incident, probably since she unsuccessfully tried to pull rank with the age-old celebrity saying, ‘Do you know my name?’ To which the officer replied, ‘No, I don’t need to know your name.’
The arrest followed after the officer was administering a sobriety test on her husband, during which Witherspoon was interrupting by refusing to stay in the car, hanging out the window and accusing the officer of being a fake.
