Grease-lovers rejoice: American burger chain Carl’s Jr is coming to Australia!
This beast of a joint is nothing like measly McDonald’s, with most of their burgers containing more than 1000 calories thanks to additional ingredients such as onion rings, hash browns, strips of bacon and pulled pork.
It is this high calorific content on their menu that isn’t going down too well with health professionals – but it’s the adverts that have people (mainly women) really pissed off. Infamous for their sexist use of women, they have come to be recognised as soft porn. Well, if you will use the likes of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian, what can you expect? The ladies, dressed in hot pants and swimwear, eat the burgers so seductively it will make your mouth drop.
Well, they do say sex sells.
Expect to see the burger chain in Tasmania and NSW first, with a reported 300 stores to open in Australia in the next 10 years.
