Earlier today, the draw for the Champions League Quarter Final draw 2015 was held and oh my! What a draw it was. With no sight of any minnows creeping through to the latter stages of the tournament, the draw saw the biggest of Europe’s sides matched up against each other.
BBM is terribly excited at the prospect of PSG taking on the resurging Barcelona, who have climbed back to the top of La Liga and with a Lionel Messi scoring goals for fun and nutmegging everyone in sight. But, will PSG have to face Barcelona without their main man, Zlatan Ibrahimovic? After his straight red card against Chelsea FC in the previous round, the Sweden captain is facing suspension, however, the red card could be rescinded after an appeal to UEFA.
Also, a replay of the Real Madrid’s La Decima win over city rivals Atletico Madrid! Will the ‘Los Blancos’ fans turn their abuse and whistles from their star players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale and direct them to their sworn rivals?
With no sign of a British club in the Quarter Finals, questions are being asked about the standard of the Premier League (Yep, no one cares about the SPL!). But, when you have world class talent in the EPL like Kun Aguero and Yaya Toure getting shown up by Lionel Messi and co. you can’t help but think that it’s time to re-evaluate the league’s prestige.
The Champions League is really clicking into gear and we can’t wait for kick off!
