A cat’s life has been saved by the least expected creature… a dog! The New Zealand dog donated blood to save Rory, the cat.
There seemed like there was no hope for Rory after he had ingested rat poison, but Macy the 18 year-old Labrador was there to save the day. As it was a late Friday night labs were closed and the vet operating suggested using the blood of a dog. Macy then participated in an inter-species transfusion, giving 120ml of blood.
And who said cats and dogs were bloody enemies?
