Robin Van PersieWell, it seems Arsenal had a bit of karma happen both ways on Sunday as the ghost of Robin Van Persie sort of returned to the Gunners, but haunted both Southampton and Liverpool. Also AVB has gone mad at Spurs, West Ham picked up a big home win with Andy Carroll the debutant on show, and Man City keeped up their winning ways.

Arsenal beat Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield, thanks to two goals from summer signings Santi Cazorla and Lukas Podolski showing RVP that the Gunners don’t need their ex-talisman anymore, but he showed them differently with a hat-trick at Southampton in a 3-2 win (although he did miss a bad penalty!).

Elsewhere on Super Sunday, Newcastle picked up a point at home to Aston Villa, with Hatem Ben Arfa striking a goal of the season contender already! You will hear plenty of those over the season here at BBM don’t you worry!
On Saturday, West Ham gave a debut to Andy Carroll as the big man helped the Hammers to a 3-0 win before going off injured. Tottenham drew 1-1 with Norwich courtesy to dodgy AVB tactics, Man City thrashed shit-with-money QPR 3-1, Swansea drew 2-2 with Sunderland, Wigan drew 2-2 with Stoke and West Brom beat a resurgent looking Everton team 2-0.

So Matchday 4 isn’t up until after the international break, a good well-earned break to redo your fantasy football team!
