Stokes Seals Record Deal For $2.8 Million

Future Ashes legend Ben Stokes has reaffirmed his position as the world’s greatest ginger sportsman (since Paul Scholes retired) after bagging a whopping $2.8million IPL contract.
The Ed Sheeran of cricket hasn’t even played in the IPL before, but that didn’t stop the Rising Pune Supergiants from snapping him up as the most expensive player this year.
“It’s been a pretty incredible week and, considering you normally have your most exciting times when you’re playing, it’s been an amazing and interesting few days,” said Stokes while trying to stay out of the sun. “I set my alarm for 3.30am, got up and waited about 40 minutes for my turn in the auction.”
