On a busy North London road, workmen from Islington Council have painted “Look Right” onto the road…with an arrow pointing left.
The council workers took it upon themselves to paint the sign onto the road after they realised there wasn’t a signal for pedestrians on that side of the road.
Well, their stupidity is not only funny, but really rather dangerous according to local woman Gina Turner who has stated, “Someone’s going to be looking right and get knocked down and killed. I’ve already heard car horns going off and seen people having to jump back out of the road – it’s really dangerous.”
The speed limit along the road in question is 30mph but is known to be an accident prone area. And, with this added contradiction who knows what the fate of someone crossing at the corner of Holloway Road is…
