Well, I guess the USA should really get back to the pitch and putt and work on the putting; and yes we are pointing you out Tiger Woods. But on another note, it is glory for Europe as they made one of the best comebacks of all time in any sport let alone Golf to defeat USA in the Ryder Cup by 1 point.
The USA were leading comfortably in Medinah when they only needed 4 points to get the required 12 to win the cup, but it was Europe who staged a late surge, when McIlroy and co staged some brilliant results to get Europe 8 points to get to the 13 ½ stage, but Tiger Woods’ bad putting in the last match let Francesco Molinari take half the spoils in the last game to give Europe the win 14 ½ to 13 ½ to give the team and captain Jose Maria Olazabal a good tournament to retire on.
Woods and co from the USA were shell shocked, and Olazabal may have captained his last European Ryder Cup team. But on the whole, at least Gleneagles in 2014 cannot keep Golfing fans off their seats as much as Medinah 2012 did.
