John HalewoodWe regret to inform people, and heavy lambrini drinkers, that John Halewood aka ‘Mr Lambrini’ who invented the worldwide aptly named drink, has died of a heart failure.

The 64 year old was found in his swimming pool area at his Cheshire home last October, which may seem a long time ago definitely! But Halewood’s Widow Julie informed the Court enquiry to his death that Halewood was an excessively heavy drinker and would on average drink ‘a bottle of wine a day’ and would regularly binge drink.

Allegedly, before his death Halewood was on another heavy drinking session, after being warned by friends not to drink so much. He also disobeyed orders from GP’s telling him his drinking would seriously harm his health. Well, I guess not listening got him in this situation. But our condolences to his family and friends, but not to the people that drink Lambrini. No offence, but I was never really a fan.
