It seems people would go to great lengths to ensure they don’t infuriate the dead, even if it means marrying an eight-year-old boy.
Sanele Masiela aged 8 from South Africa, claimed the ghost of his long-dead grandfather told him to marry 61-year-old Helen Shebangu (who was already married with 5 children) on his behalf as he was still in love with her.
All parties agreed the wedding must go ahead in fear of unsettling the spiritual world. It is reported the wedding took place in the city of Tshwane in Gauteng and cost £1,000.
According to sources, the couple did not sign a marriage certificate; so let’s hope the deceased grandfather is happy with a ritual wedding. Or else, who knows what he might make his grandson do next!
