UFC - UFC 139 Undercard ResultsStephan Bonnar defeats Kyle Kingsbury by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-25, 30-27)

Following an exciting first round, Bonnar spent the next two smothering Kingsbury on the ground in a fight which drew boos from the crowd and a cheer when Bonnar transitioned into a 69 position. At the end, Bonnar stood in the centre of the Octagon and shouted ‘sorry’ over and over to a still booing crowd.

Martin Kampmann defeats Rick Story by split decision (28-29, 30-27, 29-28)

In a really close fight that saw both men cut and trade shots, the crowd again booed. Morons.

Kampmann is from Denmark and very pale. I always think when I see him, why isn’t his nickname ‘The Danish Pastey’? (Oh shut up – that’s a great joke)

Urijah Faber defeats Brian Bowles by submission (guillotine choke)

In the second round, Faber rocked Bowles with an uppercut, knocked him down with a knee, and then pounded him until eventually being able to lock on a guillotine choke. He’ll get another fight with Dominic Cruz for the UFC bantamweight title.

Silva defeats Le by TKO

An excellent fight which shared ‘Fight of the Night’ honours. Both were hurt in the first round – Silva by a spinning back fist, and Le bothered by a cut over his right eye. In the second round, Silva caught Le, and then threw everything at him. Le was still defending when the ref stopped the fight, so maybe it was an early stoppage – but Le was pretty much done anyway.

Low point – the idiot crowd booing

High point – Arianny Celeste (obviously)
