No you do not need glasses, it really has happened after 732 minutes, the most expensive substitute, Fernando Torres has finally scored his first goal in a blue shirt. You know what this means? Football pundits, journalist and opposing fans are going to have to find something new to talk about or should we say count. Three months of mocking Chelsea and their spending on a striker that does not score has come to an end, for now.
It was more than a goal that cost £50 million pounds; it was the moment that King Kong was finally taken from El Nino’s back. This goal brought a smile to Carlos Ancelotti’s face and probably a sense of relief on not having to hear the words “when will Torres score?” at every press conference again. It was rumoured that El Nino was a loner at Stamford Bridge, but with the stack of bodies that landed on him it showed that there is close team bonding happening in the locker rooms.
All El Nino needed was puddles of water against a team fighting relegation to score his first goal. Stamford Bridge erupted like it never had before that you would think Chelsea had just won a championship. BBM believe that Chelsea supporters really have Daniel Sturridge to thank. The Chelsea striker that was put out on loan to Bolton Wanderers since Chelsea has more expensive strikers than they can handle. However, it’s Dan that’s scoring goals against teams that are a threat to Chelsea, like ending the title hopes of Arsenal.
With El Nino finally scoring, Gooners are now left with having to try and find something new thing to laugh about to get their mind off another trophyless season. However, all is not loss for Arsenal they still can beat Manchester United next week and win the Premiership ….. for Chelsea.
