It’s that time of year again when rugby fans from six different countries unite to support each of their teams as they battle it out for the Six Nations Championship.
The Six Nations Championship is without doubt the world’s greatest and most exciting rugby tournament. Each year teams from England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales go head to head and provide a gripping rugby tournament for rugby fans the world over to enjoy.
Scotland and Ireland will get the 2017 Six Nations Championship underway with their Saturday afternoon match in Edinburgh on 4th February. Later that same day England and France will meet for ‘Le Crunch’ at Twickenham. The following day Italy take on Wales in Rome.
But the Six Nations won’t be going off with a hitch as it has emerged that several stars are out with various injuries. Johnny Sexton as well as Peter O’Mahony won’t be propping up Ireland in the Six Nations opener against Scotland due to Sexton suffering from a calf injury – picked up on Leinster duty – and Munster flanker O’Mahony is currently dealing with a dodgy hamstring. There’s also doubt whether Andrew Trimble will be involved too due to a tight groin.
Catch the Six Nations throughout February & March, here’s a little of what’s happening to get you in the mood. Check with your local sports bar or pub for screening times as times and dates will vary due to time zones. Dates are by GMT.
