Premier League - Easter Weekend ReviewEaster promised an ‘eggxtravagant ‘ weekend of sport, but in particular it was football as it was Manchester against London on Sunday with Manchester United at home to QPR and Manchester City away to Arsenal. United extended their 8 point gap at the top with a 2-0 win over QPR, with United winning a penalty which Ashley Young in no way was offside and did not dive to win a spot kick (just a hint of sarcasm!) Whilst City lost late on at Arsenal 1-0, the main talking point being Mario ‘front page’ Balotelli attracting the news again with a red card and series of terrible challenges.

So now with the main Manchester news out of the way, Chelsea beat relegation strugglers Wigan 2-1 with two offside goals for Chelsea infuriating Wigan’s manager and pleasing Mr Abramovich.  Bolton were thrashed at home by Fulham 3-0, Norwich came from behind twice to draw against Everton 2-2, Swansea lost at home to the now rampant Newcastle United 2-0 and Wolves once again proved that sacking ol’ Mick McCarthy was wrong  by losing 2-1 to Stoke. But with another weeks’ worth of Football and The Masters now over, the firm focus is now back on the Premier League for an exciting climax.
