A 72-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly threatened to shoot his neighbour for farting outside his apartment.
Daniel Collins Jr is accused of pointing his .32 calibre Taurus revolver at his 47-year-old unnamed neighbour because the man let one off while walking in front of his house in New Jersey.
Collins said: “I’m going to put a hole in your head”, according to Detective Lt. Andrew McGurr of Teaneck Police.
The police were called shortly after the altercation and Collins was taken into police custody. He was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and terroristic threats.
The police officer said that the two men have a long history of disputes due to one filing a noise complaint against the other.
Perhaps Collins always thought his neighbour was – or had eaten – a bad egg.
