Usually when managers tell their players to “run through a brick wall” to help the team, it’s just a well-worn sporting cliche trotted out by lazy coaches.
For young rugby league player David Andjelz, however, the phrase is all too literal. Ambitious Andjelz is hoping to get signed by a team in the NRL, so has been making videos showing off his ability.
In one, he films himself running through a six-foot wall of bricks – in a bid to prove he’s tough enough to cut it at the top. Angry Andjelz’s lumpen head gets smashed by the bricks, he then falls over before shaking it off and getting up again.
He’s now sending the video to teams in a bid to try and get signed.
If he’s really serious about cracking into the NRL, he should film himself shagging a mate’s dog or pissing into his own mouth. That usually does the trick.
