ET Goes Home - Lifesize Model Washes Up on-ShoreWalkers on a beach in Old Portsmouth, UK had the shock of their lives this week when an unusual body rolled up on shore.

Coastguards responded to the walkers’ call only to find that the unidentified body was in-fact a life size model of Steven Spielberg’s famous alien ‘ET.’

The model was stolen from pensioner Margaret Wells’ home over five miles away in Cosham back in September along with her jewellery and an iron.

Luckily, 76-year-old Mrs. Wells had filed a police report detailing the missing model so the police knew exactly where to return it.

Mrs Wells told The Telegraph, “The police rang and said somebody has found a body in the Solent and it belongs to you – it’s E.T. I always knew ET would come home.”

She added: “He has lost a finger and looks a bit roughed up. But he has a smile on his face.”

The model was created over nine years ago by Mrs Wells’ daughter during a stage make-up course, and is thought to be the only life size model of the friendly alien in the UK.

The mind boggles as to why the robbers chucked the model and kept the jewellery – who wouldn’t want a life size model of a poo coloured wrinkly alien in their lounge?
