Move over Vinnie Jones, Norman Hunter and Roy Keane, we have a new contender in the debate over who the hardest man in football is.
Say hello to Bulgarian defender Borislav Baldzhiyski – or rather don’t because he’s facing a lengthy spell behind bars after beating a bloke to death in a road rage incident gone mental.
Bonkers Baldzhiyski, who once featured for Bulgaria’s under-21 team, laid into the poor sod after he criticised the parking of the woman who was driving Baldzhiyski around.
The 25-year-old and another man attacked a 35-year-old in a carpark near a casino after a Champions League qualifying clash between Serbia’s Partizan Belgrade and Bulgaria’s Ludogorets. He was immediately sacked by his club Slavia Sofia.
Suddenly Todd Carney’s indiscretions don’t seem so bad.
