A passenger suffering a cardiac arrest on board a Ryanair flight was treated by cabin crew……..with a sandwich and a soft drink!
The incident took place last Sunday on a flight from England to Sweden, when 63-year-old Per-Erik Jonsson lost consciousness.
Mr Jonsson’s step-daughter Billie Appleton, a nurse, told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet: “They said he had low blood pressure and gave him a sandwich and a soda. And they made sure he paid for it.”
Whilst stealing packed lunches from a local homeless shelter, a Ryanair rep told us they had offered to divert the flight and to have an ambulance on stand-by. “However, the passenger’s companion, who identified herself as a nurse, declined this offer.”
No shit, she probably refused once she caught a glimpse of the pilot switching the meter on.
