A British dog has travelled to California and beaten 28 aesthetically challenged dogs to scoop up the barking mad prize of worlds ugliest dog.
Mugly, the Chinese Crested dog, won the sort after ‘worst in show’ and the pedigree leg of the worlds ugliest dog competition, which was held in California last week.
As reported by the Telegraph, Mugly’s owner Bev Nicholson said: “I am excited. I’m overwhelmed. I’m so proud to be able to be taking this back to the UK.
“He is the most amazing dog. He’s kind and he’s patient and he’s a really sweet, sensitive dog,” she added.
As well as the fame and a cheeky ride in a limo, Mugly has won himself $1,000 (£640) in prize money, a photo shoot, VIP hotel stays and a year’s supply of doggie treats.
We may not have one the Euro but at least one British native is celebrating this month. Now there’s a good boy.
