A six-month old bay named Arthur has become an Internet phenomenon for his recreations of scenes from classic movies like The Godfather, Rambo and American Beauty.
Arthur Hammond first shot to fame last summer when mum Emily posted a picture of him recreating a classic scene from ‘Alien,’ which involved a cuddly toy bursting through his baby grow.
Since then Arthur has become an Internet sensation, attracting around 50,000 visitors per month to his blog, ‘Arthur Recreates Scenes from Classic Movies.’ Fans have even started sending in requests for Arthur to act out.
Mum Emily Cleaver, an author and film buff from Oxford, said: “Arthur enjoys all the attention when he is doing the scenes and likes it when I take his photo.”
While some reckon Emily is inflicting some sort of child cruelty on Arthur, others with a sense of humour and firmer grip on reality think it’s awesome. Just check out the ‘Zulu’ and ‘Gorillas in the Mist’ posts: if you don’t chuckle hysterically, you have no soul.
Though, be careful if viewing Arthur’s blog while slacking off at work – it might be misinterpreted…
