Another test series and another Australian batting shambles. Last summer the scourge of Australian cricket, Stuart Broad, took 8 for 15 which were the best bowling figures by a fast bowler in an Ashes test as Australia suffered a humiliating 60 all out in the Fourth Test. 60.
Pretty pathetic figures but at least that was away from home. Now the Australian batting line-up has embarrassed itself in nearby Hobart as South Africa dismissed them for the slightly less hilarious total of 85. Like a punch drunk koala they stumbled to 4 for 8, their lowest four-down total in a Test innings for nearly 80 years, before rallying to 6 for 43 then the inevitable collapse. At least it was not at the hands of Stuart Broad.
